View Of The Dales “The Elder” his old tree again caught my eye on a Sunday walk in Ashridge Woods. It definitely has a facial expression. I am not sure what kind of tree it is think it’s a sycamore but as it’s leaves had dropped couldn’t tell, but it’s energy is fabulous and [...] “Little Bit of Heaven” his large white house was at the end of a small lane running parallel with Loch Alsh, it lead to a little secluded pebbly beach and concrete jetty. The home had no life in it so presumably was a holiday home. I could just imagine having [...] Eilean Donan Castle “Whitby Rooftops” as visiting Whitby and after quite a trek up a passage way that went up towards the Abbey, I stood on this bright sunny day overlooking Whitby and it struck me how lovely a town it was with all it’s little nooks and crannies and some very colour [...] “Descend into Autumn” aken at Ashridge Woods, it was late afternoon and mist was forming at the lower end of the path, the sun was shining through the trees and the atmosphere was one of warmth waiting to fade to nothingness.   “A Winters Scene” t’s not often we have a proper winter, but this year it was fabulous, plenty of snow and clear blue skies to go with it, which prompted me to go out, crunching around in my chunky pink boots. The scene all around me was awesome, white had [...] “Take Flight” here’s something quite liberating when you watch a bird take flight, it’s like a part of you wishing to do it too.  Alas, this is achievable only in meditations, so when I saw this young seagull lift up in the air, I quickly took a shot of it, [...] “Hardy Souls” t was the worst day for anything. Rough blustery weather and yet there were people going into the sea and couples walking…this couple where fighting the wind and rain. Hardy Souls indeed! “Medieval Castle” ot taken in middle ages but in 2002 on my Nikon 990 It’s Saltwood Castle home of former MP now deceased Alan Clark. I lived opposite this beautiful structure but could only see it in it’s glory about half a mile away on the other side. It was [...] “Which Way?” n life we have so many directions we can go in, the choice is always ours but it can be difficult to choose…this sign kind of sums that up for me. Bygone Communication Dornie Over The Wall “Dornie Village” his little village is across the way from Eilean Donan Castle. It looked very idyllic on a body of water with a mountain in the background. Unfortunately I didn’t get to actually go near the houses, as it was my last day there and it was just a [...]
